Oral Health Therapist
(In her own words)
From a very young age I have always had an interest in the dental field, so once I graduated high-school I went straight to University and completed my Bachelor of Oral Health. I graduated in 2018 and started working at Port Lincoln Dental in July 2019.
I am originally from Adelaide, so a bit of a city girl, and it took me a little while to get use to the EP. Most shops are closed on Sunday and Saturday afternoon, Cummins bakery is closed all weekend and people say how far things are in distance (km), not time. I have always loved both the coast and country so Port Lincoln is incredible.
I have always enjoyed helping people, from doing Surf Life Saving at West Beach for over 10 years, to volunteering in Cambodia within my final year of study. Working in the dental field I am able to help educate people and assist in the best way to look after their oral health. With my amusing nature I try to make the dental experience both pleasant and relaxing.
The team at this practice has made going to work fun and enjoyable. The practice is up to date and modern that even being a recent graduate I had to learn skills and adapt. I hope to continue to learn and improve my skills and knowledge to help my patients and fellow colleagues.
I love the outdoors, camping, hiking and spending time at the beautiful beaches both around Adelaide and along the Peninsular. I wish I could say that I surf but I am more of a body surfer and body boarder, but I do hope to learn. I also spend way too much time watching movies and reading books.
